Deep Discipleship
Join us in Deep Discipleship – a transformative journey over 24 Thursday nights at Grace Church from February to August 2027. Together, we’ll explore the Bible’s story, the foundations of Christian belief, and the practices that help us grow as followers of Jesus.
Whether you’re new to faith or have been a Christian for many years, Deep Discipleship is designed to help you know God more deeply and live out your faith more intentionally.
The Focus
Every week, we’ll focus on three things:
The grand story of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation, and God’s purposes in the world.
Christian Story
The essential doctrines that lie at the heart of the Christian faith
Christian Belief
The practices and habits that help us follow Jesus in everyday life.
Christian Formation
The Content
Each week explores a key question about faith, Scripture, doctrine, or Christian living. Teaching, discussion and reflection are all centred around that week’s guiding question. You can find the full Course Map here.
The Teaching Team
The teaching in Deep Discipleship will come from the three people who created this program.
J. T. serves as a pastor, professor, and author. He is the author of Deep Discipleship: How the Local Church Can Make Whole Disciples and You are a Theologian: An Invitation to Know and Love God Well, co-authored with Jen Wilkin. He is also co-founder of Training the Church and a co-host of the Knowing Faith podcast. J. T. holds a Masters of Theology in Historical Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary and PhD in Systematic Theology from Southern Seminary.
JT English
Jen is an author and Bible teacher from Dallas, Texas. An advocate for Bible literacy, she has organized and led studies for women in home, church, and parachurch contexts. She co-hosts the Knowing Faith Podcast and is the author of over twenty books and Bible studies, including Women of the Word, None Like Him, and You Are a Theologian (co-authored with J. T. English).
Jen Wilkin
Kyle is a pastor, teacher, and writer. He is one of the hosts of the Knowing Faith podcast and the author of Home with God: Our Union with Christ and Formed for Fellowship. Kyle holds a Masters of Theology from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Masters degrees in theology and in religion.

Deep Discipleship is for anyone who wants to grow deeper in their faith and understanding of biblical truth and Christian living.
It does not matter where you are in your faith journey, only that you’re eager to learn, reflect and grow.
No prior theological training or biblical knowledge is required. Together we’ll explore theology through quality teaching, thoughtful discussion and opportunities to learn from one another around discussion table groups.
